Sweet Sour Nutty Egg

If you are planning for outing this weekend and want some easy fix which will be palatable both for kids and loved by the grown ups too, then give sweet sour nutty eggs a shot. I am sure you all will love the saucy yummy sweet sour nutty egg.

Preparation time : 10 minutes
Cooking time : 20 minutes
Serves : 6

Ingredients :  
6 egg hard boiled egg (Cut the eggs in half lengthwise)
2 baby corn very thinly sliced
1 small green pepper thinly sliced
1 tsp garlic paste
1 tsp sesame seed
½ cup tomato ketchup
1 tsp red chilly/paprika sauce or to taste
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tsp soy sauce
½  tbsp corn starch
1 ½ cup chicken stock/ vegetable stock
handfull of cashew 
1 tbsp sesame oil/ vegetable oil
salt and pepper to taste

Methods of Cooking :
 Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan. Fry the cashew a little and keep aside. Then add garlic paste and sesame seed fry well. Add the sliced baby corn and green bell pepper slic. Fry a little. Then add all the sauces. Mix well. Add stock, salt and pepper. Let it come to boil. Mix cornstarch with little water. Now add to the saucy gravy.When the gravy thickens add rice vinegar. Mix well. Put off the flame. Now add  fried cashews. Mix well. Plate the eggs,ladle hot saucy gravy on top.Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy with noodles or fried rice.

Paneer posto is a delicious creamy dish. Posto in Bengali means paste of poppy seeds which is cooked with veggies , fish and even chicken or just taken raw with mustard oil and hot steamed rice. Today I used that concept of Bengali posto but to it add some ingredients to give it a royal touch. The dish looks very rich but it is not that heavy and not loaded with too much of calories but a simple fast to cook easy delicious dish.
