Ridge fish curry is a very delicious and healthy dish. Rohu fish a very sweet tasting soft fish when cooked in ridge gourd juices it turned out more delicious. This recipe was shared by a FB food group friend few months back. A special thanks to her for sharing such delicious recipe, I just add on to her recipe a little according to my taste and truly speaking it comes out amazing. Preparation time : 15 minutes Cooking time : 15 minutes Serves : 4 Ingredients : 4 rohu/ roho labeo fish pieces 6 to 8 garlic clove 1 onion cubed ½ tsp grated ginger 1 big tomatoes chopped 5 to 6 green chilly chopped or to taste 5 to 6 jinghe / ridge gourd peeled and cubed 1 tsp kashundi / mustard sauce 1/2 tsp oil 3 tbsp chopped coriander 1 tbsp lemon juice or to taste salt to taste
Methods of Cooking :
Wash and clean rohu pieces. In a bowl take the ridge gourd , garlic, ginger, onion, tomato , green chilly , salt and kashundi / mustard sauce mix well. Now add the fish and with soft hand mix well. Take a nonstick pan brush the pan with ½ tsp oil. Now gently place the fish ridge gourd mixture. Cover and cook in a slow flame till the fish is well cooked in ridge gourd juice. Once done add chopped coriander and lemon juice. Put off the flame. It’s one of it’s type dish , very healthy and can be relished with a little bowl hot steamed rice or a slice of bread.
