Bhapa paneer is a very delicious and yummy easy to cook Indian cottage cheese recipe. In this festive time of Durga puja I just added few things to give a grand taste, I am sure you can easily win hearts with this delicious bhapa paneer. Preparation time 30 minutes Cooking time 15 minutes Serves 4 Ingredients: 150 grms of paneer/ Indian cottage cheese cubes 1 cup yogurt ½ tsp turmeric powder ½ tsp red chilly powder 1tbsp mustard paste 1tbsp almond cashew paste ½ tsp ginger garlic paste 11/2 tbsp fresh coriander paste ½ tsp green chilly paste or to taste 3 to 4 whole green chilly ¼ cup mustard oil ¼ tsp sugar or to taste a pinch black pepper powder 2 pinch garam masala powder 2 tbsp fresh cream salt to taste
Cooking Methods
Take a bowl in it add yogurt, turmeric powder, red chilly powder, mustard paste, almond cashew paste, ginger garlic paste, coriander paste, green chilly paste, sugar, salt and black pepper powder. Mix well. Now add oil and mix well. Add fresh cream mix well. Marinate the paneer cube in this thick sauce. Take a closed lid stainless steel bowl. Pour the paneer with the sauce in this bowl. Sprinkle garam masala powder. Place the whole green chilly on top. Close the lid of the bowl tightly. Put this in your steamer and steam for 10 to 12 minutes or put 1 cup of water in your pressure cooker and cook for 5 to 8 minutes. Give 5 minutes standing time and serve with hot rice.
